The Matrix Club seeks an Operations Manager to lead and direct activities in their convention, banquet, and performance venue where events, cuisine, music, entertainment, and the arts come together in one location. Our facilities include the world-class Matrix Club accommodating up to 2000 people for concerts, weddings, and special events; the Matrix Club International Music Lounge, Bar & Fusion Restaurant; and the Dhrishti Center for the Performing Arts, providing performance venues and educational opportunities for diverse cultures and artistic creators.

About The Dhrishti Center:

The Dhrishti Center for Performing Arts provides a unique location to host a captivating array of theater, music, dance, fashion shows, art exhibitions, and educational exhibits.

Compensation:

Competitive base salary with bonus structure and benefits

  • Oversee planning and execution of all activities at The Matrix Club and associated properties
  • Implement financial planning, tracking and reporting on the profitability all venues
  • In collaboration with ownership, establish sales goals in alignment with financial projections
  • Direct all hiring and training of leadership staff
  • Create and review leadership goals and performance
  • Conduct inventory management and quality control of all departments
  • Monitor safety standards, OSHA and other regulatory requirements of the venues
  • Establish and implement a customer satisfaction program
  • Conduct operational meetings with appropriate team members
  • Actively participate in all leadership/department head meetings
  • Strives to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performances in all venues
  • Defines, implements and revises operational policies and guidelines for the organization
  • Supports and assists team in any job function, as needed
  • Ensures consistency in the highest level of guest satisfaction, operational standards, quality of product and service, facilities management
  • Maintains a consistent positive leadership style, supporting company’s core values and philosopy
  • Reports to CEO/Owner and Executive Team
  • Degree in Business or Operational Management, Hospitality & Tourism preferred
  • 10+ years in a parallel role in the restaurant or entertainment field
  • ServSafe, BASSET, IL Allergen, IL Manager Food Sanitation Certifications required
  • Demonstrated record in planning and achieving financial objectives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events at once
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, including shifts up to 12 hours
  • Experience in working with diverse cultures preferred

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft software and CRM/events software; Tripleseat, AllSeated, restaurant reservations software & POS
  • Familiarity with accounting best practices and procedures
  • Managed in a fiscally responsible manner, controlling f&b costs, labor, indirect costs and inventory practices
  • Ability to adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Experience leading or collaborating with sales professionals and programs
  • Ability to partner with multiple department heads, marketing team, HR team and ownership
