The Matrix Club seeks an Operations Manager to lead and direct activities in their convention, banquet, and performance venue where events, cuisine, music, entertainment, and the arts come together in one location. Our facilities include the world-class Matrix Club accommodating up to 2000 people for concerts, weddings, and special events; the Matrix Club International Music Lounge, Bar & Fusion Restaurant; and the Dhrishti Center for the Performing Arts, providing performance venues and educational opportunities for diverse cultures and artistic creators.

About The Dhrishti Center:

The Dhrishti Center for Performing Arts provides a unique location to host a captivating array of theater, music, dance, fashion shows, art exhibitions, and educational exhibits.

Compensation:

Competitive base salary with bonus structure and benefits

  • Oversee planning and execution of all activities at The Matrix Club and associated properties
  • Implement financial planning, tracking and reporting on the profitability all venues
  • In collaboration with ownership, establish sales goals in alignment with financial projections
  • Direct all hiring and training of leadership staff
  • Create and review leadership goals and performance
  • Conduct inventory management and quality control of all departments
  • Monitor safety standards, OSHA and other regulatory requirements of the venues
  • Establish and implement a customer satisfaction program
  • Conduct operational meetings with appropriate team members
  • Actively participate in all leadership/department head meetings
  • Strives to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performances in all venues
  • Defines, implements and revises operational policies and guidelines for the organization
  • Supports and assists team in any job function, as needed
  • Ensures consistency in the highest level of guest satisfaction, operational standards, quality of product and service, facilities management
  • Maintains a consistent positive leadership style, supporting company’s core values and philosopy
  • Reports to CEO/Owner and Executive Team
  • Degree in Business or Operational Management, Hospitality & Tourism preferred
  • 10+ years in a parallel role in the restaurant or entertainment field
  • ServSafe, BASSET, IL Allergen, IL Manager Food Sanitation Certifications required
  • Demonstrated record in planning and achieving financial objectives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events at once
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, including shifts up to 12 hours
  • Experience in working with diverse cultures preferred

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft software and CRM/events software; Tripleseat, AllSeated, restaurant reservations software & POS
  • Familiarity with accounting best practices and procedures
  • Managed in a fiscally responsible manner, controlling f&b costs, labor, indirect costs and inventory practices
  • Ability to adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Experience leading or collaborating with sales professionals and programs
  • Ability to partner with multiple department heads, marketing team, HR team and ownership

SOUS CHEF

The Matrix Club is a one of a kind venue, currently under construction, aiming to launch in April 2022. Our location is located in the Western suburbs, and easily accessible off highway I-88. We are seeking a Sous Chef to create and collaborate on dishes for events and banquets.

We value creativity along with keen personality and the ability to appeal to patrons of many different cultures. We’ll be serving guests eager to be entertained by their experience at The Matrix Club. The Matrix Club is a premier convention, banquet, and performance venue created around the idea that a cosseting style of hospitality and ethereal beauty is essential to share unique and special moments. 

Events include but are not limited to:

  • Weddings and Pre-Wedding Events
  • Concerts and Shows 
  • Corporate Events and Conventions 
  • Charity Fundraisers and Social Events
  • And More! 

Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner

  • Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
  • Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
  • Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
  • Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
  • Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
  • Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
  • Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Culinary Degree a plus but not required
  • At least 5 years of culinary experience in a parallel role in food service, full-service restaurants, or hotel property
  • Exceptional cooking and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage the kitchen staff, motivate them and assign duties fairly
  • Familiarity with the best practices in the hotel and catering services industry
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, ServSafe Certification a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale and event management software
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, comfortable with administrative duties
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours according to business levels
  • Comfortable working alongside multiple departments involved in planning & executing events
  • Experience with International cuisine preferred

LINE COOK

The Matrix Club is a one of a kind venue, currently under construction, aiming to launch in April 2022. Our location is located in the Western suburbs, and easily accessible off highway I-88. We are seeking a line cook prep and cook dishes for events and banquets.

We value creativity along with keen personality and the ability to appeal to patrons of many different cultures. We’ll be serving guests eager to be entertained by their experience at The Matrix Club. The Matrix Club is a premier convention, banquet, and performance venue created around the idea that a cosseting style of hospitality and ethereal beauty is essential to share unique and special moments. 

Events include but are not limited to:

  • Weddings and Pre-Wedding Events
  • Concerts and Shows 
  • Corporate Events and Conventions 
  • Charity Fundraisers and Social Events

  • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers accordingly 
  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • Plating prepared foods under Sous/Exec Chef guidance
  • Working with banquet team to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
  • Daily menu prep, cleaning, storing and organizing of kitchen equipement
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
  • Assisting in multiple kitchen assignments as directed by Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
  • Abiding by all company policies stated in Employee Handbook
  • Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree preferred but not requires
  • At least 2 years of cooking experience in food service, full-service restaurant, hotel property and/or in banquets/catering
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a consistent, professional manner
  • Strong organization and active listening skills
  • The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours according to business levels

THE MATRIX ROOM BANQUET MANAGER

The Matrix Room has a taste for international cuisine and is seeking a Banquet Manager who can deliver a customer experience of great dining and entertainment in a multifaceted venue. SALES ADMIN / CORDINATOR

The Matrix Club in Naperville, Illinois has a taste for international cuisine and entertainment. Our organization is seeking a Sales Admin/Coordinator to identify, develop and support sales efforts for three exciting new venues combined into one! We value creativity, innovation and a progressive sales approach to engage potential patrons at many levels and from different cultures. You’ll be representing an entirely new concept in integrated entertainment and cuisine, with world-class acts and event-hosting capabilities; weddings, corporate events, the arts and more. Our sales process begins with sophisticated web and public relations promotion to bring prospects into the sales funnel, but we’ll also be proactively reaching out through prospecting and existing database of customer leads, as well as data-driven personality profiles of our ideal customers. That means we want people thrilled with the idea of becoming part of a dynamic, progressive organization where you contribute to our success while growing your own. This is a great opportunity to develop this role into an Event Sales Manager position.

  • Supports Sales team throughout sales process, to include handling initial inquiries, lead generation, coordinating client consultation, detailing BEOs, and event billing paperwork
  • Using existing database and inbound marketing leads to bring in business
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify sales goals and financial objectives
  • Participate in weekly Sales and BEO meetings
  • Maintain CRM system using technology to track, follow up and close business
  • Work alongside other departments in event execution and management
  • Project a positive and friendly image in community representation in networking opportunities
  • Monitor web feedback and inbound marketing to turn inquiries into active accounts
  • Assist in categorizing types of sales prospects according to organizational, individual or institutional needs
  • Provide sales reports to Sales team, Operations and Events managers, and ownership
  • Assist in post event follow-up as needed to maximize customer satisfaction and referrals
  • Communicate sales needs to marketing representatives and agencies to support all efforts
  • Prepare sales materials, marketing collateral for outreach
  • Manage Sales office calendars, schedules, appointments as needed
  • Misc. office duties as Managers and Ownership sees fit

Other Responsibilities:

  • 2+ years in a parallel role in the hospitality, restaurant or entertainment field
  • Demonstrated record in achieving financial objectives in the restaurant and events industry
  • Proven ability to manage a CRM software to generate and track sales
  • Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
  • Cultural sensitivity and diversity is a top priority
  • Multiple language skills is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and alongside multiple department heads
