LINE COOK
The Matrix Club is a one of a kind venue, currently under construction, aiming to launch in April 2022. Our location is located in the Western suburbs, and easily accessible off highway I-88. We are seeking a line cook prep and cook dishes for events and banquets.
We value creativity along with keen personality and the ability to appeal to patrons of many different cultures. We’ll be serving guests eager to be entertained by their experience at The Matrix Club. The Matrix Club is a premier convention, banquet, and performance venue created around the idea that a cosseting style of hospitality and ethereal beauty is essential to share unique and special moments.
Events include but are not limited to:
- Weddings and Pre-Wedding Events
- Concerts and Shows
- Corporate Events and Conventions
- Charity Fundraisers and Social Events
- And More!
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers accordingly
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Plating prepared foods under Sous/Exec Chef guidance
- Working with banquet team to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Daily menu prep, cleaning, storing and organizing of kitchen equipement
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Assisting in multiple kitchen assignments as directed by Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
- Abiding by all company policies stated in Employee Handbook
- Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree preferred but not requires
- At least 2 years of cooking experience in food service, full-service restaurant, hotel property and/or in banquets/catering
- Ability to work as part of a team in a consistent, professional manner
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours according to business levels
- Exceptional time management skills
BANQUET MANAGER
The Matrix Club has a taste for international cuisine and is seeking a Banquet Manager who can deliver a customer experience of great dining and entertainment in a multifaceted venue. We value creativity along with keen personality and the ability to appeal to patrons of many different cultures. We’ll be serving guests eager to be entertained by their experience at The Matrix Club and even educated in new and different tastes. Mostly we want people to be thrilled enough to return looking for even more new experiences. We invite you to share how you can contribute to the success of the Matrix Room, the new home for fusion food, music and drinks in the most vibrant city in the entire Chicago suburbs, Naperville, Illinois.
- Oversee planning and execution of all banquet activities at The Matrix Club and associated properties
- Assist in implementation of financial planning, tracking and reporting on the profitability of the venue
- In collaboration with Director of Operations, establish sales goals in alignment with financial projections
- Direct all hiring and training of banquets team
- Conduct inventory management and quality control of all departments
- Monitor safety standards, OSHA and other regulatory requirements of the venues
- Establish and implement a customer satisfaction program
- Conduct operational meetings
- 5+ years in a parallel role in the banquet, restaurant or entertainment field
- Demonstrated record in planning and achieving financial objectives in the restaurant industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events at once
- Experience in producing and serving multiple cuisine types
- Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Cultural sensitivity and diversity is a top priority

SALES ADMIN / COoRDINATOR
The Matrix Club in Naperville, Illinois has a taste for international cuisine and entertainment. Our organization is seeking a Sales Admin/Coordinator to identify, develop and support sales efforts for three exciting new venues combined into one! We value creativity, innovation and a progressive sales approach to engage potential patrons at many levels and from different cultures. You’ll be representing an entirely new concept in integrated entertainment and cuisine, with world-class acts and event-hosting capabilities; weddings, corporate events, the arts and more. Our sales process begins with sophisticated web and public relations promotion to bring prospects into the sales funnel, but we’ll also be proactively reaching out through prospecting and existing database of customer leads, as well as data-driven personality profiles of our ideal customers. That means we want people thrilled with the idea of becoming part of a dynamic, progressive organization where you contribute to our success while growing your own. This is a great opportunity to develop this role into an Event Sales Manager position.
- Supports Sales team throughout sales process, to include handling initial inquiries, lead generation, coordinating client consultation, detailing BEOs, and event billing paperwork
- Using existing database and inbound marketing leads to bring in business
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify sales goals and financial objectives
- Participate in weekly Sales and BEO meetings
- Maintain CRM system using technology to track, follow up and close business
- Work alongside other departments in event execution and management
- Project a positive and friendly image in community representation in networking opportunities
- Monitor web feedback and inbound marketing to turn inquiries into active accounts
- Assist in categorizing types of sales prospects according to organizational, individual or institutional needs
- Provide sales reports to Sales team, Operations and Events managers, and ownership
- Assist in post event follow-up as needed to maximize customer satisfaction and referrals
- Communicate sales needs to marketing representatives and agencies to support all efforts
- Prepare sales materials, marketing collateral for outreach
- Manage Sales office calendars, schedules, appointments as needed
- Misc. office duties as Managers and Executive leadership sees fit
Other Responsibilities:
- Support sales efforts for The Matrix Room and associated properties
- In collaboration with Sales team, support sales goals in alignment with financial projections
- Assist with inventory management and quality control of all departments

- Assist in following up on referrals and leads in timely fashi
- 2+ years in a parallel role in the hospitality, restaurant or entertainment field
- Demonstrated record in achieving financial objectives in the restaurant, hospitality and/or events industry
- Proven ability to manage a CRM software to generate and track sales
- Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
- Cultural sensitivity and diversity is a top priority
- Multiple language skills is a plus
- Ability to work independently and alongside multiple department heads
